SIZING

Frequently complicated, various sizes across the continent and America ensures that sizing clothes to fit specific age groups is as much a headache for retailers as it is for parents. A rule that many follow is that French clothes tend to be small fitting and American clothes tend to be huge.

The following Table should be used as a guide only, and is what many companies refer to as the ‘average’. If your child is 18 months you might be interested in the row 18/24 meaning 18 months up to 24 months.

Average Age and Height:

The following Table should be used as a guide only and compares British shoe sizing with Europe and America. A British child size 8 shoe is a European 25 and American 9.
